Garage Repair in Scottsdale, AZ: What We Fix and What to Call Someone Else For

We are a garage door company. Here is exactly where our work starts and stops.

If the problem is the door itself, how it opens, closes, sounds or sits, we fix it: springs, cables, tracks, rollers, hinges, panels, openers, sensors and remotes. If the problem is the walls, slab, wiring, water heater or pests, you need a different trade, and you are better off knowing that before anyone drives out.

What we repair

Springs are the biggest category, $180 to $290 for a replacement. Off-track doors start at $200. Cables, rollers, hinges and bent panels make up most of the rest. On the opener side we handle motors, gear kits ($289), belt drives ($689), sensors, wall buttons and remotes.

We have worked in the Valley since 2012 and carry ROC license 338265. Our Google rating is 5.0 across 49 reviews.

What we do not repair

Drywall and framing around the garage, cracked slabs, painting, water heaters, electrical panels and pest problems. Those are real garage repairs, and people search for them under the same words, but they are not our trade.

One edge case comes up a lot: a garage door that was damaged by a car, with the surrounding header or jamb cracked. We replace the door and the hardware. A bent or rotten jamb needs a carpenter first.

How to tell what you have

Start with what the door does. Will not move at all with the opener running points to the door, a spring or the opener. A loud bang followed by a door that will not lift is almost always a spring. A door that reverses is usually a sensor or a limit setting. A door that drifts down when you let go is a balance problem.

If none of those fit, say what you hear and see on the call and we will place it. The $35 service call is credited to the repair if you go ahead.

Before you call a general handyman

A handyman can swap a remote battery or tighten a bolt, and that is fine. Springs are the exception. A torsion spring holds enough energy to injure someone, and a wrong-size spring leaves the door unbalanced and wears out the opener. That is the one job we ask you to leave to a licensed company.

Hours and what happens next

We are available Monday to Friday 7:00 to 20:00 and Sunday 8:00 to 18:00. Call (480) 405-0909, tell us what the door does, and we will say whether it is ours to fix. If it is not, we will say that too.

Questions people ask us

Do you repair the whole garage or just the door?

Just the door side: door, springs, cables, tracks, opener and controls. Walls, slab, wiring and pests need another trade.

What does a Scottsdale garage door repair usually cost?

The service call is $35, credited to the repair. Springs run $180 to $290 and off-track doors start at $200. You hear the price before we start.

Is a broken spring a DIY job?

We recommend against it. Torsion springs are under heavy tension and a wrong-size replacement leaves the door out of balance.

My opener hums but the door will not move. What is it?

Often a broken spring, because the opener cannot lift the door alone. Do not keep pressing the button.

Do you replace the door itself?

Yes. New doors start around $1,800, and insulated ones around $2,650.

Not sure whether it is a door problem?

Describe what you see and hear and we will tell you whether it is ours to fix before you commit. Call (480) 405-0909.
