Reading the ratings
Top-Rated Garage Door Spring Repair Companies in Cave Creek AZ
Cave Creek has about 5,000 residents. Here is how to tell a genuinely local record from a number that was built somewhere else.
In a town this size, the useful test of a top-rated spring company is not the star count. It is whether the Arizona ROC licence checks out, whether the quote names the wire size and cycle rating of the spring going in, and whether the warranty is on paper. We are ROC338265, rated 5.0 across 49 Google reviews, and reachable at (480) 405-0909.

The small-town problem
Why review counts mislead in a town of 5,000
Cave Creek had roughly 5,000 residents at the last census. Work the arithmetic: a garage door company cannot have serviced four hundred Cave Creek households and still be a small local shop, because that would be most of the town.
What you are usually looking at instead is a valley-wide or national brand with a page per city, or a lead-generation site that sells your call to whoever buys the zip code that day. Neither is a lie exactly, but neither tells you who will be standing in your garage.
The honest version is less impressive and more useful. We work the whole Phoenix Valley and have since 2012, Cave Creek included. Our 5.0 rating across 49 reviews is the whole company, not a Cave Creek-only figure, and we would rather say that than invent one.
Two-minute check
Check the licence yourself before you book
Arizona publishes every contractor licence, and it takes about two minutes.
- Search the ROC number on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors site. Ours is ROC338265.
- Confirm the status reads active, and that the classification covers the work. A spring and door company should hold a residential or dual licence that covers garage doors, not a general handyman listing.
- Look at the bond and complaint history on the same record. It is public, and it is the part most review pages never show you.
If a company will not give you a number to check, you have your answer without checking anything.
The spec sheet
The four numbers a real spring quote contains
A torsion spring is not a generic part. It is specified by four measurements, and a company that knows what it is doing will read them to you.
Wire diameter, inside diameter, length, and wind direction. Those four decide how much door the spring can lift and how long it lasts. A quote that says only replacing your spring is a quote from someone who has not measured yet.
The fifth number is the one worth asking about by name: cycle rating. A builder-grade spring is rated for about 10,000 open-and-close cycles. A high-cycle spring is 25,000 or more. On a Cave Creek home where the garage is the main door into the house, that is the difference between seven years and closer to twenty.
Warranty in writing
What a written warranty has to actually say
Verbal warranties are worth what they cost. The written one should name three things: what is covered, for how long, and who honours it.
Ours is one year on parts and labour for spring work, in writing, from Above All Garage Door Service directly rather than from a parts distributor you would have to chase yourself.
Ask one more question while you are at it: are springs replaced in pairs. On a two-spring door they should be. The springs wore together and a new one next to a tired one puts the whole load onto the new part, which is how people end up paying twice in eighteen months.
Our numbers
Our pricing and our hours, stated up front
Torsion spring replacement on a standard double door is $180 to $290, set by wire size and cycle rating. The service call is $35 and comes off the job if we do the work.
We are bonded and insured under ROC338265 and we have been working garage doors across the valley since 2012. Hours are Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The quote is written and given before any tool touches the door. If you want to compare us against another company on the four spring numbers above, we would rather you did that than guess.
Cave Creek questions
Questions people in Cave Creek ask before booking
How do I know if a garage door company is actually licensed in Arizona?
Search the ROC number on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors website. The record shows whether the licence is active, what classification it covers, the bond, and any complaint history. If a company cannot give you a number to search, that is the answer. Ours is ROC338265.
What does cycle rating mean on a garage door spring?
One cycle is one full open and one full close. A builder-grade torsion spring is rated around 10,000 cycles, a high-cycle spring 25,000 or more. If your garage is the door the family actually uses, you are running four to six cycles a day, which is why the rating matters more than the brand name on the quote.
Should both springs be replaced if only one broke?
On a two-spring door, yes. Both springs wore through the same number of cycles, so the survivor is close behind. Putting one new spring next to a tired one also throws the balance off and loads the new part harder. We quote the pair and explain why rather than quietly doing one.
Can I just buy a spring online and have you fit it?
We do not fit customer-supplied springs. A spring sized wrong for your door is a serious injury risk during winding, and we cannot warranty a part we did not specify. We will happily read you the four measurements off your existing spring so you can see we are quoting the right one.
Ask us for the spring numbers before you decide
Call and we will tell you the wire size, inside diameter, length and cycle rating we would put on your door, so you have something concrete to compare against any other quote.
