Repairs: the calls that make up most of the week
Most Scottsdale calls come down to a short list of parts. Torsion springs wear out by cycle count, cables fray where they wind onto the drum, rollers go flat and noisy, and the safety sensors near the floor get knocked out of line. Those are the fixes people usually mean when they say the door is broken.
The numbers: the service call is $35. A torsion spring pair is $180 to $290 installed, and we replace both springs together because the second one is the same age. A door that has come off its track starts from $200, depending on whether the track or panels bent on the way down. Sensors, rollers and cables are quoted after the technician has looked, and always before the work starts.
If you are not sure which of those you have, the five-minute check guide walks through what you can safely test yourself first. A sensor problem often ends there, with a wiped lens and no bill.
Openers: repair, replace or upgrade
An opener that hums but does not lift is often a stripped drive gear, and a gear kit is $289. That is the better repair when the motor is otherwise sound. A new belt drive opener, supplied and fitted, is $689, and it is the quiet choice if the garage sits under a bedroom.
Tall doors and low-headroom garages are a different case. A wall-mount opener, which hangs beside the door rather than from the ceiling, starts from $1,350. We fit LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie, and a repair carries a one-year parts and labor warranty.

Before you replace anything, check the wall control, the remote battery and the sensors. All three are cheap to rule out, and a dead opener is sometimes only one of them.
New doors and installation
A new standard 16 by 7 steel double door, supplied and installed, starts at $1,800. The same size insulated with windows is $2,650, and that is the one worth pricing if the garage backs onto a living space or the afternoon sun hits the door. The opener is separate.
If you are deciding between repairing and replacing, the replacement guide covers the questions that settle it, and the cost guide lays out the full price list. Stucco homes and HOA neighborhoods in Scottsdale often limit door colors and styles, so check your association before you fall in love with a design.
We give a written price before the work, and the $35 call comes off a new-door job just as it does a repair.
Who answers, who comes, and what you pay for
The phone is answered by a person 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you can describe the problem at 9pm and have a time waiting. Technicians are dispatched Monday to Friday 7am to 8pm and Sunday 8am to 6pm. We have served the Valley since 2012, our license is ROC338265, and we hold 5.0 stars from 49 Google reviews.
You pay for the diagnosis, not for a surprise. The technician explains what he found before he touches a part, and you decide with the price in front of you. This is how one customer put it after a bigger job:
None of this changes if the answer is that nothing needs replacing. If a sensor or a remote battery is the whole story, that is what we tell you.
“Nate replaced our aging garage door opener, cables, and springs with all new equipment and setup the remote including a new wall button for a reasonable price.”
